Ktestvömrël-zōl Vrët (/ktestˈvo˞mrɛl/ /zoːl/ [lecture; sermon] [theory; premise]) is a subtropical Large Town located in the Ḿoůma H́ueo̊ Moot of the Viceroyalty of Rosid.
The name Ktestvömrël-zōl Vrët is derived from the Wood Elvish language, as Ktestvömrël-zōl Vrët was founded by Munvin Phiegror Zulvarash, who was culturaly Wood Elven.
Climate
Ktestvömrël-zōl Vrët has a yearly average temperature of 11°C (51°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 26°C (78°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a freezing -3°C (27°F). Ktestvömrël-zōl Vrët receives an average of 152 cm/y (59 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of snow during the pleasantly short winter months. Ktestvömrël-zōl Vrët covers an area of nearly 7 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 2088 m (6850 ft) above sea level.
Overview
Ktestvömrël-zōl Vrët was founded durring the late 15th century in summer of the year 1379, by Munvin Phiegror Zulvarash. The establishment of Ktestvömrël-zōl Vrët suffered from many setbacks, delays, and obsticles, most notably a group of Ktestvömrël-zōl Vrët which required millitary assistance exterminate before the community could finish being built.
Ktestvömrël-zōl Vrët was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the late 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Ktestvömrël-zōl Vrët is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.
Ktestvömrël-zōl Vrët is buildings folow an organic layout of crampt gravel streets whihch gives the town a shape simmilar to a tree, if one views its streets from above. The town emploies a series of defencive earthworks and fences to provide minimal protection against wild beasts and smaller groups of intelegent foes. Astonishigly, the somewhat suffishent are in pristine condishion, as if they had just been finished before you laied eyes upon them.
The first thing you notice about Ktestvömrël-zōl Vrët is the large sign at the entrance welcoming you to their humble town. Children come up to you and say hi, some asking if you’ve fought any big monsters, and others just zipping away after their hello. The adults are much the same. By the time you’ve made it a significant way into the town you’ve been invited to a tavern for a pint to drink in exchange for news of the world. You’ve also had no less than three older women give you a sweetroll and direct your attention to their still unmarried children. It would be creepy if it wasn't so sincere.
Civic Infrastructure
Ktestvömrël-zōl Vrët has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Ktestvömrël-zōl Vrët. Ktestvömrël-zōl Vrët has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Ktestvömrël-zōl Vrët's natural decorations nor waterways.
Ktestvömrël-zōl Vrët has a Guild of Roadworkers, who are responsible for maintaining the roadways and public paths within town. They also have the duty of enforcing all civil laws relating to the roadways.
Ktestvömrël-zōl Vrët has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.
Ktestvömrël-zōl Vrët has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.
Cultural Notes
Ktestvömrël-zōl Vrët's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by their massive, monolithic and 'blocky' appearance with a rigid geometric style. It was best known for its rough, unfinished surfaces, unusual shapes, heavy-looking materials, straight lines, and small windows. Modular elements were often used to form masses representing specific functional zones, grouped into a unified whole.
